Project overview

The hair is deliberately in motion, so it cannot be tidied into a helmet — the edit has to remove the strands that read as distraction and keep the ones that read as movement. The backdrop also carries an uneven warm gradient.

Transformation details

Individual strands crossing the face and the neckline were removed one at a time; nothing was masked as a block, because a block mask takes the movement with it.
The backdrop was evened and cooled slightly, which lifts the hair's edge away from the background without touching the hair.
White balance was corrected on the skin, then the wardrobe rebalanced separately so the cream fabric did not go pink.
A light skin pass removed marks while leaving texture.
