Project overview

The backdrop's texture is the reason it was used, so it cannot be cloned flat. But the frame also contains a stand edge, a floor seam and marks on the surface that all need to go.

Transformation details

Repairs were made with texture sampled from elsewhere on the same wall, so the grain continues through every patch.
The stand edge and the floor seam were rebuilt rather than blurred.
The prop was cleaned and its own texture preserved.
Skin was evened, and the strong side light was kept — it is what gives the wall its texture in the first place.
