Beauty retouching
A tight beauty frame worked with frequency separation and dodge and burn: marks removed, pore texture kept, tone evened across the face.

Project overview
At this magnification every decision is visible. Blur reads instantly as plastic, and the uneven redness across the cheek and around the nose cannot be fixed by lifting exposure without flattening the whole face.
Transformation details
Frequency separation was used to separate colour from texture, so the blotching could be evened on the colour layer while the pores stayed untouched on the other.
Individual marks were cleaned on the texture layer one at a time.
Dodge and burn rebuilt the modelling the colour work had softened — down the nose, under the cheekbone, along the jaw.
Lips and eyes were brought up last, by a small amount, and the flowers in frame were left as they were shot.
