Project overview

The retoucher's job here is mostly deciding what not to do. The subject's natural skin pattern is part of who they are; removing it would be a different person, and an automated pass would remove it first.

Transformation details

The markings were protected before any work started, so nothing could reach them by accident.
Uneven tone in the surrounding skin was evened with frequency separation, matching the areas around the markings rather than across them.
Dodge and burn rebuilt modelling along the arm and the collarbone.
The wet floor reflection was cleaned and the backdrop evened.
