Project overview

Backdrop, outerwear and trousers are all in the same olive family, so the subject flattens into the set. The chair base and casters are also distracting at the bottom of the frame.

Transformation details

The backdrop was deepened to push the outerwear forward, which builds separation without changing either colour.
The chair base was cleaned and its shadow simplified.
The outerwear's quilting was given a local contrast lift so the material reads.
Skin was corrected away from the olive bounce, and the footwear's colour held so it stays the frame's accent.
