Project overview
The gown has a long train lying on studio floor. Any new interior has to have a floor that the train can plausibly lie on, at the right perspective, or the dress will float.
Transformation details
The interior was built with its floor plane set from the train, not from the horizon — the fabric already tells you where the ground is.
A polished surface was used so the gown gets a soft reflection, which is what ties the dress to the room.
Windows and drapery were placed to echo the gown's own colour, keeping the frame to one palette.
A pram was added at a scale that reads as furniture rather than as a second subject.
